When We Can Come

Are you really open 24 hours?

Yes. A real person answers the phone day and night, not an answering service, and an urgent blockage gets treated as urgent whatever the clock says.

Do you work weekends and public holidays?

We do. Drains have a talent for failing on long weekends, so the roster never switches off and a Sunday booking works exactly like a Tuesday one.

What happens after I call?

First you talk the symptoms through with someone who has stood over a lot of drains, then we set a visit time, often for that same day. On arrival you get an honest diagnosis of the cause and a price to approve before anything starts.

How quickly can you clear a blocked drain?

Most blockages are gone the day you ring; same-day service is what we build the diary around rather than a promise we hope to keep. Bigger repairs and excavations take longer, and you will know that before we start.

What It Costs to Get It Flowing

Can the price change once you start?

No. You approve the price before we start, and that figure holds however stubborn the blockage turns out to be. If the camera turns up unrelated damage deeper in the line, that gets priced on its own, and nothing proceeds without your say-so.

What does "$65 off your first service" cover?

Any first booking with us, whichever drain service it turns out to be. The discount is applied to the quote before you sign off, so the figure you approve is already the lower one.

How do I pay?

Once the work is done and you have watched the drain flowing, not before. The amount is the one you approved at the start, and the plumber on site sorts the practicalities with you on the day.

What does "best price guaranteed" actually mean?

It means we price the job fairly from the first quote instead of padding it to leave room for haggling. We will not be beaten on a true like-for-like price for the same work.

The Waverley Drain Picture

Who is responsible for a blocked sewer, me or Sydney Water?

The working rule: pipes on your side of the connection point are the owner's responsibility, while past that point the mains sit with Sydney Water. Take that as guidance, not a ruling on your specific block, since connection points differ between properties. What matters in practice is which side the fault sits on, and a quick camera look settles that before anyone spends money in the wrong place.

Why do tree roots block so many Waverley drains?

The suburb's older streets carry two generations of growth: established gardens above the pipes and mature street trees beside them. Between the two, the ground is full of root systems with nowhere better to go than a leaky joint. The earthenware lines below have joints that a century of ground movement has opened just enough, and a root only needs a hairline of moisture to get in and fatten until the line chokes.

How local are you, really?

Enough that the stretch from the Charing Cross shops to the clifftop cemetery on the Bronte boundary counts as a regular run, not a trip. We are usually in Waverley already, which is why a drain booked in the morning is often flowing by dinner.

Why do older Waverley homes keep getting blockages?

Because the drainage under a Federation semi is usually as original as the fretwork. Vitrified clay lines of that era crack and drop at the joints, then catch everything that should have washed through. Each clear buys time, but a line failing structurally will keep calling you back, and that is when we camera it and price a permanent repair instead of a fourth clean.

Licensed, Insured and Guaranteed

How experienced are you with drains?

Drains are the core of the business: 15+ years' experience, most of it on the older pipework under Sydney's east. Experience like that is mostly pattern recognition, knowing what a slow shower plus a gurgling gully usually means before the camera confirms it.

What does the lifetime labour warranty cover?

The labour, permanently. If a clear or repair of ours fails because of how we did the job, we come back and make it right at no charge, with no time limit hiding in fine print.

Is your work guaranteed?

Yes, in writing: quality workmanship guaranteed on every job. In practice that means the drain is tested flowing before we pack up, and the standard does not slip because a job was small or booked at midnight.

Can I clear a blocked drain myself?

A plunger on a single slow fixture is worth one honest try. Beyond that, supermarket caustic and hired eels do real damage: burnt seals, cracked porcelain and cables stuck halfway down broken lines. A repeat blockage has an underlying cause, and finding it takes a licensed plumber with a camera, not another bottle of chemicals.
